Preventing and Responding to Crisis Situations
Behavioral crises are disruptive and can be dangerous. This course will help learners identify situations that could result in a crisis and how to prevent them. It will also provide information on how to ensure safety when behaviors escalate into crises.The goal of this course is to provide Registered Behavior Technicians™, or RBT®s, preparing for the RBT Exam with information related to handling crises with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities. This training program is based on the RBT Task List and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential.

Instructor: Rhonda Davin, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Dr. Rhonda Davin is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with over 25 years of experience in the fields of developmental disabilities and autism. She has served the field as a teacher, college professor, consultant, and expert witness. She started Behavior Consulting Services which provided direct behavior analytic services to children with autism and their families. She has supervised and mentored several behavior analysts and service providers currently practicing in the field today. Dr. Davin has also provided technical assistance for large-scale organizational change efforts in the area of Positive Behavior Supports.
